These Terms and Conditions govern your use of semotor.com and any purchase of products or services from Southern Electric Motors, 7100 NW 72nd Ave, Miami, FL 33166. By placing an order or using this site, you agree to these terms.

Use of This Site

You agree to provide accurate account and order information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and not to use this site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that interferes with its operation or security.

Products, Pricing, and Availability

We list HVAC, refrigeration, electric motor, and control products along with the specifications supplied by their manufacturers. Photographs, drawings, and descriptions are for reference and may differ from the item shipped as manufacturers change designs. Prices, specifications, and availability may change without notice.

Occasionally an item may be listed with an incorrect price or description. We reserve the right to correct errors and to cancel or decline any order arising from them, even after an order confirmation has been sent. If your order is cancelled for this reason and you have already paid, we will issue a full refund.

Orders and Acceptance

Your submitted order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges that we received the order; the contract is formed when we accept the order and ship the item. We may limit quantities, require verification of payment or account information, or refuse an order at our discretion.

Orders may be cancelled or changed at no cost before they ship. Special orders and non-stock items placed with a supplier on your behalf cannot be cancelled once the supplier has processed them.

Payment and Taxes

Payment is due at the time of purchase unless you have an approved account with written credit terms. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Florida sales tax is applied where required. If you are purchasing tax-exempt or for resale, a valid certificate must be on file with us before the order is placed.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping estimates are not guarantees, and we are not responsible for carrier delays. Please inspect every shipment on arrival. Report shortages, visible damage, or an incorrect item within 5 business days of delivery and keep the original packaging so we can file a carrier claim. Local pickup is available at our warehouse during business hours.

Returns

Returns are governed by our Return & Refund Policy. In summary, we accept authorized returns of unused, uninstalled items in original packaging within 30 days of delivery, and the customer is responsible for return shipping costs except where we shipped the wrong, defective, or damaged item.

Warranties

Products carry only the warranty offered by their manufacturer, and we will help you file a manufacturer warranty claim. Except for that manufacturer warranty and any express written warranty we provide, products are sold “as is” and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by Florida law.

Warranty coverage does not apply to items that were installed incorrectly, operated outside their rated specifications, altered, or damaged by misuse, power surges, contamination, or lack of maintenance.

Installation and Product Suitability

The parts we sell are intended for installation and service by qualified, licensed technicians in accordance with the manufacturer instructions and all applicable electrical, mechanical, and building codes. You are responsible for confirming that a part is correct and suitable for your equipment and application. Any guidance from our staff is offered in good faith as general assistance and does not replace professional engineering or licensed contractor judgment.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Southern Electric Motors is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of use, equipment downtime, spoiled inventory, property damage, or labor costs arising from the sale, use, or failure of any product. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The content, layout, logos, and images on this site are owned by Southern Electric Motors or its suppliers and may not be copied, republished, or used commercially without written permission. Manufacturer names, brands, and part numbers appear for identification purposes only and remain the property of their respective owners.
